Red Door presents an exhibition from mother/daughter duo Linda and Lara Chapple.

The exhibition focuses on the ways in which colour can enhance mood and uses imagination, colour and dream to convey a sense of peace and wonder.

Linda Chapple’s work celebrates the beauty of nature in an unexpected way. Formerly, Linda had a career in the world of commercial art as a director at Saatchi and Saatchi Advertising London and has had businesses in decorative antiques and interiors. Linda teaches art in Kent and Spain where she serves on the committee at Centro de Artes, Mijas Pueblo, Andalusia.

Lara Chapple’s work is largely figurative. Apart from her focus as an artist, she is the founder of the creative group Wolfpie. Previously she managed a London art gallery and had a career in advertising. She was awarded the top art scholarship at Kings Canterbury.

The impact of colour is put together in association with Mind. On a personal note, two generations of women have come together in this collection to mark the life of our mother and grandmother, Audrey Topham.
